Brave Detectives Season 5 Premieres with New Cast and High Hopes for Ratings

'Brave Detectives 5' is set to premiere with an expanded storyline, featuring new cast members Yoon Doo-joon and Kwak Sun-young. The show aims to surpass its target rating of 1.5%.

On the morning of the 23rd, an online production presentation for E Channel's 'Brave Detectives 5' was held. Attendees included Ahn Jung-hwan, Kwon Il-yong, Kwak Sun-young, and Yoon Doo-joon.

'Brave Detectives' is a crime variety show where real detectives appear to share their firsthand experiences of solving actual cases. The show has continued to receive steady love from viewers, leading to its fifth season.

Ahn Jung-hwan attributed the show's longevity to the viewers' interest and love, expressing gratitude. He also shared his emotional response to the injustices faced by many in Korea, stating his desire to contribute to the eradication of crime.

This season introduces Kwak Sun-young and Highlight's Yoon Doo-joon, replacing Kim Sun-young and Lee Yi-kyung, promising a fresh dynamic. Kwak Sun-young is expected to bring empathy and sharp analysis, while Yoon Doo-joon is anticipated to showcase his enthusiasm and wit.

Yoon Doo-joon expressed his excitement about joining the show, which he was a fan of, and his commitment to contributing to crime prevention. Kwak Sun-young shared that her husband was thrilled about her participation and emphasized her dedication to the program.

Since its first broadcast in 2022, the 'Brave Detectives' series has been praised for its genuine empathy and its role in raising awareness and preventing crime. This season will continue to delve into real cases, highlighting the voices of detectives and experts to provide a comprehensive view of crime.

Kwon Il-yong described 'Brave Detectives' as a modern version of 'Chief Investigator,' hoping viewers will empathize with the victims' emotions.

The cast, including Ahn Jung-hwan, Kwon Il-yong, Kwak Sun-young, and Yoon Doo-joon, revealed their ratings pledges. Ahn Jung-hwan promised to give away 100 signed balls if the show surpasses 1.5% ratings. Kwon Il-yong pledged to provide winter gloves to 20 detectives. Yoon Doo-joon promised a coffee truck for police trainees, and Kwak Sun-young vowed to gift cosmetics to 200 viewers if the ratings approach 2%.

'Brave Detectives 5' will premiere on the 27th and air every Friday at 9:50 PM.
