Indian Broadcaster Lucky Welcomes First Child on 'The Return of Superman'

On KBS2's 'The Return of Superman', Indian broadcaster and entrepreneur Lucky, who has been living in Korea for 30 years, introduced his first child. The emotional journey from just before birth to the moment of birth and immediately after was shared, adding a special significance.

The episode aired on the 18th, titled 'The Birth of Lucky Vicky's Indian Baby', featured MCs Kim Jong-min and Lalal. The episode showcased 48-year-old Lucky embarking on a new chapter as a father, delivering a touching experience. The 613th episode of 'The Return of Superman' recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 3.0%, continuing its steady performance.

Ahead of meeting his daughter, Lucky prepared by choosing a name and gathering baby supplies, fully embracing his new role as a father. He named his daughter 'Rahee', meaning 'free traveler' in Hindi, hoping she would adapt well anywhere without being confined by borders or culture. Accompanied by parenting veterans Alberto and Guillaume, Lucky went shopping for baby items, displaying the universal parental desire to provide everything for their child. Moved by the thought of his child's birth, Lucky shared, "Just imagining the birth brings tears to my eyes," to which Alberto responded, "Every moment of a child's birth and growth brings indescribable happiness," bringing tears to Lucky's eyes. Lucky revealed he had undergone a health check-up before the birth, expressing his deep-seated concerns as a late-blooming father at 48, saying, "I want to see Rahee grow up healthy for a long time," and promised to be a supportive father, saying, "I will always be there for you."

Lucky expressed pride in the natural conception despite their combined age exceeding 90, while also voicing concerns for his wife and child. After a wait filled with both anxiety and excitement, Lucky finally met his child. The birth process, filled with joy and anxiety, highlighted the greatness of parenthood and new life. As Lucky welcomed his healthy 3.3kg baby, he shed tears of joy, greeting, "Hello, it's Daddy," a moment that touched many hearts. Lucky shared, "I will never forget this feeling. I've never experienced such emotion in my life. It feels like a gift from heaven."

Son Min-soo celebrated his first birthday with the Kangdan twins. Im Ra-ra prepared a surprise birthday party for Son Min-soo, who had forgotten his own birthday due to raising twins. The event, complete with a cute flower wreath, pocket money, a birthday meal, and a heartfelt letter, deeply moved Son Min-soo.

Last year, the Kangdan twins miraculously joined their parents on Son Min-soo's birthday, and this year, they celebrated their father's birthday. The twins clapped their tiny hands to their mother's birthday song, and Dani drooled over the birthday meal, charming online aunts and uncles.
