Kim Jong-kook Reveals Unexpected Connection with Actor Park Shin-yang on 'Problem Child in House'

Singer Kim Jong-kook shares his unique connection with actor Park Shin-yang.

On the upcoming episode of KBS2's variety show 'Problem Child in House' (hereafter 'Problem Child'), airing on Thursday, the 19th, the legendary romance actor and 13-year veteran painter Park Shin-yang will make an appearance, showcasing his hidden variety show skills.

The 'Problem Child' cast, known as the 'Rooftop Squad,' is thrilled to see Park Shin-yang, often referred to as the 'unicorn of the entertainment industry,' in person. Kim Sook expresses her amazement, saying, "I was surprised to hear Park Shin-yang would be on the show. I've been in broadcasting for 30 years, and this is my first time meeting him." Hong Jin-kyung adds to the surprise, "I was a 1996 classmate in the theater department at Dongguk University, and Park Shin-yang was from the class of 1986. Even though he is a senior from my school, I've never met him."

In contrast, Kim Jong-kook proudly shares his unexpected connection with Park Shin-yang, drawing attention. Kim Jong-kook reveals, "Actually, Shin-yang hyung and I met 13 years ago," adding, "We met on 'Running Man.' At that time, hyung was very enthusiastic about doing the splits." Kim Jong-kook also shows his admiration for Park Shin-yang, paying homage to the famous lines from Park's movie 'Promise.' He humorously admits, "Whenever hyung says 'I love you!' I cry. I cry every time I watch it. Oh, I could cry to death," bringing laughter to those around him.

The 306th episode of 'Problem Child' will air on the 19th at 8:30 PM.
