'Divine Law Office' Starring Yoo Yeon-seok Tops Ratings and Popularity Charts

The drama 'Divine Law Office,' starring actor Yoo Yeon-seok, has claimed the top spot in both viewership ratings and popularity. Meanwhile, its predecessor, 'I'm Human from Today,' starring actress Kim Hye-yoon, recorded a modest viewership in the 2-3% range.

In the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Divine Law Office,' Yoo Yeon-seok plays the role of Shin I-rang. The show has captured both high ratings and buzz within just two episodes, achieving a peak viewership of 11.3%, securing the number one spot among Friday-Saturday dramas. It also topped Netflix's Today's Top 10 Series in South Korea as of March 17.

According to the Good Data Corporation's FUNdex for the second week of March, released on March 17, the drama ranked first in the TV drama category, and Yoo Yeon-seok placed third in actor popularity. The unique premise of a lawyer who can see ghosts, combined with humanistic elements, has been well-received in various online communities.

In the upcoming third episode airing on March 20, Shin I-rang's brother-in-law, Yoon Bong-soo, is expected to become his official sidekick. This is due to Shin I-rang's sudden changes, such as talking to himself, finding clues in cases remarkably, and behaving like a gangster with a rough dialect. The released stills show Yoon Bong-soo praying in a church, with Park Kyung-hwa and Father Matteo (played by Jung Seung-gil) standing quietly behind him. Park Kyung-hwa is seen asking Yoon Bong-soo to take care of her ghost-seeing son, Shin I-rang. Despite his fear of ghosts, Yoon Bong-soo's love for his brother-in-law leads him to join 'Divine Law Office' as a manager, marking the start of his heartfelt care.

The production team stated, "In this week's episodes, characters who share Shin I-rang's secret begin to unite in their own ways to help him. Look forward to the warm family chemistry of the Shin I-rang family, as well as the comedic yet reliable teamwork of ghost-seeing Shin I-rang, his brother-in-law Yoon Bong-soo, and helper Father Matteo."

'Divine Law Office' airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
