Korean Singer Insooni Reveals Her Husband and Shares Weekend Loneliness

Insooni, the beloved Korean singer, opened up about her weekend loneliness on the recent episode of TV Chosun's 'Joseon's Love'.

On the October 16th broadcast, Insooni introduced her husband, who is four years her junior, for the first time. Known for her hit songs like 'Again', 'Friend', and 'Father', Insooni, who debuted in 1978 as part of the group Hee Sisters, revealed her husband Park Kyung-bae, who is 64 years old.

The couple appeared in their home, which boasts a spacious living room and a stunning view of the Han River. Insooni humorously introduced her husband as "my younger brother by four years" and added, "Please forgive him if he makes dad jokes. He's a bit of a talker who explains things at length," drawing laughter.

Park Kyung-bae, who teaches golf, explained, "I tend to explain things in detail because I lecture at school. I teach both professionals and amateurs." His resemblance to comedian Kim Gook-jin, both in appearance and hobbies, caught viewers' attention.

Kim Gook-jin humorously suggested, "Tell him to play a round of golf with me. I need to teach him a lesson," to which Insooni replied, "My husband is really looking forward to it."

Park Kyung-bae showcased his domestic skills, from changing dog pads to setting the table, grilling meat, preparing desserts for his wife, and doing the dishes, earning him the title of 'Joseon's Housekeeper'.

Celebrating 32 years of marriage, Park Kyung-bae proudly stated, "Our family comes together to solve any problem. We are small in number but united in heart." However, Insooni humorously lamented, "But we lack connections," causing laughter.

Looking at the trophies in her husband's study, Insooni confessed, "He cherishes his golf tournament awards." She added, "Neither my daughter nor I play golf. I feel like a widow on weekends because he always goes out. Whether it's training, teaching, or playing, he's always off golfing, even when I have a day off," expressing her feelings of loneliness.

Kim Gook-jin jokingly said, "Why do I feel guilty?" but emphasized, "I do it as a hobby." Kang Soo-ji added humorously, "It's more intense than a job," resonating with Insooni's sentiments.

Insooni also shared a personal story, revealing that her love was not accepted due to her father being a U.S. serviceman and her mother being Korean. "It was a difficult love back then, and I wasn't accepted either. It was tough for me too. But now I understand the recklessness of that love. The more people tried to stop us, the more passionately we loved," she reflected with a sense of longing.
