Actor Bae Yoo-ram Opens Up About Mother's Battle with Breast Cancer on 'My Little Old Boy'

Actor Bae Yoo-ram shared a shocking experience regarding his mother's battle with breast cancer on the SBS variety show 'My Little Old Boy'.

On the episode aired on the 15th, the main cast of the drama 'Taxi Driver', including Lee Je-hoon, Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, and Bae Yoo-ram, gathered for an honest conversation.

During the broadcast, Bae Yoo-ram cautiously recalled the past when his mother's condition worsened.

He explained, "When I first started appearing on TV, my mother was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer." Bae Yoo-ram revealed that his mother chose traditional Korean medicine for treatment, traveling between Seoul and Wonju.

However, he received an unexpected call one day. Bae Yoo-ram said, "I got a call from where my mother was staying, telling me that her condition was critical and I should take her home."

He also shared his memory of arriving at the hospital. "When I went to the hospital room, something felt very strange. My mother was lying there like a zombie. She didn't recognize me," he said.

After transferring her to a larger hospital, he heard even more shocking news. Bae Yoo-ram recalled, "The doctor asked why I hadn't come sooner. The test results showed that it was stage 4 breast cancer."

Reflecting on the treatment she received, he added, "Her condition worsened at that traditional medicine hospital, and within a week, there was news that the person providing the treatment was a fraud."

Following this experience, Bae Yoo-ram admitted that his concern for his family grew. He said, "Since then, I get anxious if my mom doesn't answer the phone. If Do-gi hyung were there, I would have asked him to handle it."

Meanwhile, Bae Yoo-ram has been a scene-stealer in various hit productions such as the drama 'Taxi Driver', 'Reply 1988', and films 'Exit', 'Midnight Runners'.
