Lawyer Hears Voices from the Dead, Unveils a Tale of Revenge in 'Shin & Law Office'

A lawyer, struggling to secure a job due to his father's past, unexpectedly begins to hear the voices of the deceased, setting the stage for a gripping tale of revenge.

On the first episode of SBS's 'Shin & Law Office' (directed by Shin Joong-hoon, written by Kim Ga-young and Kang Chul-kyu), which aired on the 13th at 9:50 PM, Shin Yi-rang (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) encounters the ghost of Lee Kang-poong (played by Heo Sung-tae) and takes on his first case.

In this episode, Shin Yi-rang is shocked to learn from Han Na-hyun (played by Lee Som), the ace of the law firm Taebaek, that he cannot join the firm due to his father being accused of corruption as a prosecutor 20 years ago. Determined to seek revenge, Shin Yi-rang decides to establish his own top law firm. He secretly uses his mother's butcher shop deposit to set up an office with a view of the courthouse, only to find out it was once a shaman's house.

After lighting incense left in the office, Shin Yi-rang experiences a strange phenomenon where he begins to see the dead. Terrified by the appearance of Lee Kang-poong, who pleads for recognition, Shin Yi-rang hides under his desk in panic. Although Lee Kang-poong has lost his memories from when he was alive, he recalls the circumstances of his death after confirming his name and birth date through his wife, Kim Min-joo, who visits the office.

Lee Kang-poong testifies that he overheard a conspiracy to disguise his death during surgery as a cardiac arrest shock, despite it being a medical accident. He seeks Shin Yi-rang's help.

Shin Yi-rang heroically intervenes to stop Kim Min-joo from signing an unfavorable settlement, deceived by a lawyer colluding with the hospital. As the trial begins, Shin Yi-rang exposes the existence of a nurse, the only witness the hospital tried to conceal, leading to a fierce battle with opposing lawyer Han Na-hyun.

However, when Han Na-hyun tarnishes Lee Kang-poong's honor by revealing his past as a gang member, Lee Kang-poong, unable to contain his anger, possesses Shin Yi-rang, causing chaos in the courtroom. After the possession ends, Shin Yi-rang, kicked to the ground by Han Na-hyun, mutters, "I really hate being a lawyer who sees ghosts," yet hints at his unwavering resolve to clear the grievances of the deceased.
