Single Moms Sayuri and Han Groo Open Up About Parenting Challenges and Misconceptions
On Han Groo's YouTube channel, 'Groo's Talk', a video titled 'Sayuri Unnie Opens Up... The True Feelings of Single Moms' was released.
In the video, Sayuri, a voluntary single mother, and Han Groo, who is raising twins after a divorce, discussed parenting and daily life.
Sayuri revealed that she is more strict and firm when disciplining her son Zen to ensure that the absence of a father does not appear as a deficiency. She expressed her determination to raise Zen diligently so that the absence of a father does not become a lifelong label. Sayuri shared an anecdote where Zen was asked an inappropriate question about his father's whereabouts by a friend, to which Zen responded that he was fine because he had his manager uncle. She expressed gratitude for the supportive people around her.
Both women agreed that their fear of death has increased since becoming parents. Sayuri mentioned her fear of leaving her child alone due to an accident, while Han Groo shared a peculiar experience before undergoing cosmetic surgery. She recalled how she suddenly worried about her children just before anesthesia, which led her to request the surgery be stopped, although she eventually fell asleep. Han Groo added that such moments made her realize the immense responsibility and burden of being a mother.
Regarding remarriage, both women expressed cautious attitudes. Sayuri admired Han Groo's growth through divorce but emphasized the importance of communication if she were to marry again. Han Groo stated that while she is open to remarriage if she meets the right person, her children's opinions are now the most important factor. She shared a light-hearted conversation with her children about marrying a foreign actor, to which they humorously responded that her taste was strange, and her daughter firmly stated that someone with tattoos, alcohol, or smoking habits was out of the question.
