'You Quiz on the Block' Dominates Ratings Despite Cast Changes

tvN's variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' continues to lead in its time slot, securing the top spot in viewership ratings. This comes after cast member Jo Se-ho exited the program amid various controversies.

The episode aired on the 11th of this month marked the 334th installment of 'You Quiz on the Block' and achieved an average viewership rating of 4.2% in the Seoul metropolitan area, peaking at 5.4%. It ranked first among cable and general programming channels during its time slot. Additionally, the show topped the ratings for tvN's target demographic of men and women aged 20 to 49 across all channels, including terrestrial networks, once again proving its strong appeal. The episode was themed 'Breaking Through the Odds' and featured stories of individuals who have carved their own paths. Guests included Buddhist monk Hosan, who has trained South Korean snowboard medalists, singer WOODZ (Cho Seung-youn), who gained fame with his self-composed song 'Drowning' during his military service, neuroscientist Professor Kim Dae-shik, who discussed the impact of AI on jobs and the future, and actor Lee Dong-hwi, known for his scene-stealing roles after numerous auditions and years of obscurity. Host Yoo Jae-suk engaged in heartfelt conversations with the guests, earning praise from viewers.

The upcoming 335th episode, airing on the 18th, will feature Hae-rin, the Korean lead in the globally anticipated 'Bridgerton 4' and granddaughter of actress Son Sook, actress Yum Hye-ran known for her heartfelt performances, actor Choi Ji-soo who plays a chaebol heir in 'Undercover Miss Hong' but is a professional part-timer in real life, and short track speed skating legend Choi Min-jung along with her mother, marking their first joint appearance on television.
