Emotions Run High as Wi Ha-jun's Character Investigates Park Min-young in 'Siren'

Wi Ha-jun's character finds himself increasingly intrigued by Park Min-young's character in the latest episode of tvN's 'Siren'. Known for her dedication to roles, Park Min-young previously lost weight for a character battling cancer and has reportedly done so again for her current role. However, some viewers have expressed disappointment with her diction in the series.

In the fourth episode, which aired on October 10th, insurance investigator Cha Woo-seok (played by Wi Ha-jun) begins to shift his feelings from suspicion to curiosity towards Han Seol-ah (played by Park Min-young), who is suspected of insurance fraud.

The episode achieved a nationwide household rating of 4.3%, peaking at 5.7%, and dominated its time slot across cable and general programming channels. It also ranked first among tvN's target demographic of viewers aged 20-49 in both the Seoul metropolitan area and nationwide. 'Siren' premiered with a 5.5% rating but has since stabilized in the 4% range, according to Nielsen Korea.

Cha Woo-seok discovers evidence of Kim Yoon-ji stalking Han Seol-ah and attempts to confront her, but Han Seol-ah is arrested for Kim Yoon-ji's murder before they can meet. Intern Do Eun-hye (played by Han Chae-rin) identifies Han Seol-ah as the suspect based on her own observations.

Despite the police's expectations, Han Seol-ah quickly proves her alibi, and the case is ruled a suicide. Frustrated, Cha Woo-seok delves into the reasons behind Kim Yoon-ji's obsession with Han Seol-ah.

Through evidence found at Kim Yoon-ji's home and testimonies, Cha Woo-seok learns that Han Seol-ah's ex-boyfriend, Choi Young-ho (played by Yoon Jong-hoon), was once romantically involved with Kim Yoon-ji. He speculates that Kim Yoon-ji's inability to accept Choi Young-ho's breakup led her to seek revenge on Han Seol-ah.

While the connection between Han Seol-ah and Kim Yoon-ji is revealed, the reasons behind the deaths of Han Seol-ah's male acquaintances remain unclear. Cha Woo-seok is puzzled by the fact that Han Seol-ah gains nothing from these deaths.

Cha Woo-seok uncovers a recording left by Kim Yoon-ji that hints at Han Seol-ah's troubled past. Witnessing Han Seol-ah's fragile state, he begins to feel sympathy for her.

Driven to uncover the source of Han Seol-ah's misfortunes, Cha Woo-seok follows her closely. At the memorial service for the deceased Yoon Seung-jae (played by Ha Seok-jin), he observes Han Seol-ah silently enduring the anger of the bereaved family, stirring complex emotions within him.

Cha Woo-seok's determination to understand the tragedies surrounding Han Seol-ah only adds to her distress. Exhausted by the constant suspicion, Han Seol-ah breaks down and attempts to end her life.

Cha Woo-seok saves her in the nick of time, but Han Seol-ah, overwhelmed, demands to know what more he wants. In a moment of vulnerability, Cha Woo-seok confesses, "I'm curious about you, Han Seol-ah," hinting at his growing emotional turmoil. The mystery of the deaths surrounding Han Seol-ah and the impact of Cha Woo-seok's curiosity on her life remain to be seen.
