Ha Ji-won Returns to TV After 4 Years with 'Climax'
On the 10th, a press conference for the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Climax' was held at The Saint in D-Cube City, Guro-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by actors Joo Ji-hoon, Ha Ji-won, Nana, Oh Jung-se, and director Lee Ji-won.
'Climax' is a drama about prosecutor Bang Tae-seop, who enters a power cartel to reach the top of South Korea, and the intense survival game of those around him.
Ha Ji-won takes on the role of actress Choo Sang-ah, who stands at the crossroads of power and choice. Ha Ji-won described her character as "a person who has emotions where a glamorous past coexists with an unstable and shaky present. She shows a cold demeanor to reach the top but wavers when faced with crises."
This marks Ha Ji-won's return to television after about four years since the KBS2 drama 'Curtain Call'. Regarding her comeback, Ha Ji-won said, "It's been a really long time since I've greeted everyone. I had a great experience working with director Lee Ji-won on the movie 'Bi-gwang', so I chose 'Climax' as my comeback project."
She added, "I felt a strong impression as soon as I read the script. It was a character I hadn't tried before, which made it attractive, and I really wanted to take on the challenge."
'Climax' is set to premiere on the 16th at 10 PM.
