K-Pop Idol Mimi Shocks with High-Calorie Dessert Diet on YouTube Show
On Daesung's YouTube channel 'House Daesung,' a video titled 'DANGER (Sweet) Warning' was uploaded.
In the video, Oh My Girl's Mimi joins Daesung to indulge in a variety of sweet treats from convenience stores and cafes, showcasing an unusual mukbang.
Mimi shared her unique dessert philosophy, catching viewers' attention. When Daesung asked about her usual dessert intake, Mimi surprised everyone by saying, "To live like a human, I limit myself to just six cookies a day." She added, "I need to eat three ice creams as soon as I wake up to feel awake," highlighting her distinctive taste.
During the mukbang, Mimi also addressed the controversy surrounding her judging criteria on the baking survival show 'Bread Master,' where she is a judge. When Daesung asked why she praises a taste but still eliminates contestants, Mimi explained, "My strict standard is whether a consumer would be satisfied with a single experience or would be willing to buy it again." She asked viewers who found her decisions puzzling to understand her perspective, while demonstrating her professional side by giving firm evaluations to products she wouldn't repurchase.
Unlike Mimi, who pursues extreme sweetness, Daesung, who usually manages his diet, tasted the 'Choco Soup' and was overwhelmed by its sweetness, providing comic relief. The two shared a common love for bread and rice cakes but displayed contrasting preferences for sweetness, creating a unique chemistry. Mimi boldly declared she would consume ten years' worth of sugar in one day, finishing her meal without hesitation. Daesung, though initially overwhelmed by Mimi's energy, gradually adapted to the new food combinations, ending the recording on a cheerful note.
