Kookhwa from 'I Am Solo' Addresses Controversies and Shares Her True Feelings in Exclusive Interview

Even after the show has ended, 'I Am Solo' star Kookhwa continues to draw significant attention. In an exclusive interview, she addressed various controversies surrounding her and candidly shared her unspoken thoughts from the filming.

On the YouTube channel 'Village Chief Entertainment TV,' operated by ENA and SBS PLUS's 'I Am Solo,' a video titled 'I Want to Meet a Man Who Can Lead Me - Kookhwa Exclusive Interview' was uploaded.

In the video, Kookhwa, a key figure from the second season of the divorcee special 'I Am SOLO, Love Continues,' shared her recent updates.

Kookhwa revealed why she declined the final choices of Youngsoo from the 22nd season and Kyungsoo from the 26th season. She confessed that her unique situation as a divorcee made her more cautious. She explained that accepting someone's feelings without certainty would not be respectful. However, she left a surprising twist by choosing Kyungsoo from the 26th season as her preferred companion for the spin-off content 'The Bickering Trip,' stating that while Youngsoo provided comfortable joy, Kyungsoo sparked romantic excitement.

In the interview, Kookhwa also shared the challenges she faced post-broadcast, akin to those of a celebrity. Having worked as an SRT crew member for a decade, she mentioned wearing a mask at work to avoid being recognized by passengers, which could disrupt her duties. Kookhwa admitted to experiencing severe emotional distress due to negative comments about her personality and behavior. She was most upset by criticisms labeling her expressions as calculated or her eyes as glaring. She credited the warm encouragement from her fellow cast members for helping her overcome these challenges.

Kookhwa cautiously addressed the so-called 'sock controversy' that made her a target of criticism among viewers. She clarified, "The action of shaking socks next to a sleeping cast member in the dorm was merely a careless act due to intoxication, with no intention of disrespect." Her self-reference as 'Oksun' was also dismissed as a light-hearted joke about a symbolic name admired by all female cast members.

Through her appearance on the show, Kookhwa reflected on herself and expressed her desire to meet someone who can lead her confidently. Although her final choice did not materialize, her honest and bold charm left a lasting impression, and viewers are keen to see what path she will take next.
