Heartfelt Moments on 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears': Yang Joon-hyuk and Park Hyun-sun's Emotional Journey

On the latest episode of KBS2's 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears,' the couple Yang Joon-hyuk and Park Hyun-sun shared their emotional journey of conceiving twins through IVF, only to lose their son and fight to protect their daughter. Yang Joon-hyuk expressed his desire to pass on his fish business to his daughter in their new ocean-view home in Pohang.

The episode, aired on October 8, achieved a peak viewership rating of 7.0%, maintaining its position as the top show in its time slot for 196 consecutive weeks, according to Nielsen Korea.

Yang Joon-hyuk revealed his new home for the first time, inviting family to the 'Bangshin House' with its stunning view of the Guryongpo Sea. His 12-month-old daughter, Lee Jae, charmed viewers with her adorable presence and sunny smile. Yang Joon-hyuk playfully engaged with her using flashcards, focusing on seafood terms like 'octopus,' 'mackerel,' and 'amberjack,' hinting at his hopes for her future in the family business. However, Park Hyun-sun expressed concern over this early education.

For the housewarming, Yang Joon-hyuk prepared dishes like amberjack sashimi and amberjack cutlets, surprising everyone with his unique cooking method. Comedian Kim Sook commented on the unusual batter, while Park Hyun-sun likened the taste to chicken, prompting a humorous remark from Jeon Hyun-moo about the power of love.

The family reminisced about the couple's relationship journey, with Park Hyun-sun recalling how they met as a fan and athlete, and how she realized his feelings during his difficult times. Yang Joon-hyuk's father-in-law shared his initial shock over their 19-year age difference, but expressed gratitude for the support he now receives from his in-laws.

The couple tearfully remembered their IVF journey, losing their son and fighting to save their daughter, Lee Jae. Yang Joon-hyuk, usually reserved with emotions, broke down as he expressed gratitude for his wife's strength during that challenging time.

In another segment, Lee Soon-sil, celebrating 19 years of marriage, participated in a wedding photoshoot. She requested a 'Jang Won-young style' makeover, receiving compliments for her transformation. Her husband, Hwang Yoo-sung, revealed her reluctance to wear revealing dresses due to scars from past torture in North Korea, adding a poignant layer to their story.

Despite the cold, Lee Soon-sil and Hwang Yoo-sung enjoyed their photoshoot, with Hwang expressing his admiration for his wife. Lee Soon-sil shared that the day was even more joyful than their wedding day.
