Lee Dong-gun Opens Up About Parenting Concerns Ahead of Daughter's Adolescence

Actor Lee Dong-gun candidly shared his concerns about his daughter Roa's upcoming adolescence on the latest episode of SBS's variety show 'My Little Old Boy,' aired on the 8th.

The episode featured Kim Jun-ho and Choi Dae-chul visiting Lee Dong-gun's new home. Lee expressed his desire to create a special room for Roa, saying, "She's already in third grade, so she needs a space to do her homework and freely draw." He smiled fondly as he thought of his daughter.

Lee also discussed how he spends time with Roa. "When I meet Roa, we usually go to her grandparents' house for a meal or visit a 'kids cafe.' We also watch new animated movies together," he shared, adding, "It's more about playing together than parenting."

However, Lee has one particular concern. He admitted, "I'm not sure how Roa will perceive her father, who doesn't live with her, when she hits puberty."

Lee expressed mixed feelings, saying, "I'm both anxious and excited, but I'm trying harder now to maintain a good relationship."

The episode also showed Lee and Roa making rice balls together. Previously, Roa had expressed her wish to live with her father, to which Lee responded, "I feel the same," highlighting their close bond.

Lee Dong-gun married actress Jo Yoon-hee in 2017, and they amicably divorced in 2022. They have one daughter, Roa, who is being raised by Jo Yoon-hee.
