Dramatic Tensions Rise in 'I'll Give You the Universe' as Love Triangle Intensifies

The latest episode of tvN's Wednesday-Thursday drama 'I'll Give You the Universe,' aired on the 4th, delved into the emotional turmoil of Seon Tae-hyung (played by Bae In-hyuk) as he confronted the painful truths of his family's past. In an effort to protect Woo Hyun-jin (played by Noh Jung-ui) and Seon Woo-joo (played by Park Yoo-ho), Tae-hyung decided to leave home. This decision opened the door for Park Yoon-sung (played by Park Seo-ham) to step in, intensifying the curiosity about the future of this love triangle. Despite its intriguing plot, the drama has struggled to surpass a 2% viewership rating since its premiere on September 4th.

Seon Tae-hyung's emotions were a mix of anger and betrayal. He discovered that Seon Kyu-tae (played by Ryu Seung-soo) had approached them with the intention of claiming Seon Woo-jin's (played by Ha Joon) life insurance money. The revelation that Kyu-tae's actions had also harmed Woo Hyun-jin left Tae-hyung in a state of despair. Further shock awaited him at the police station, where he learned that Kyu-tae had a history of fraud and had recently been released from prison. Additionally, Tae-hyung encountered a former colleague of Woo-jin, who shared unexpected stories.

After a failed business venture, Kyu-tae turned to alcohol and violence, forcing Woo-jin to place Tae-hyung in an orphanage for his safety. The full extent of the truth left Tae-hyung overwhelmed with emotion. Discovering traces of Woo-jin's support for his dream of becoming a photographer since childhood, Tae-hyung broke down in tears, leaving viewers deeply moved.

Tae-hyung's guilt was relentless. He recalled not answering Woo-jin's call on the day of the accident, wondering if it was to inform him of Kyu-tae's release. Blaming himself for the deaths of Woo-jin and Woo Hyun-joo (played by Park Ji-hyun), Tae-hyung was consumed by regret. The truth he faced caused his heart, which had begun to open due to Woo Hyun-jin and Seon Woo-joo, to close once more. Fearing for their safety, Tae-hyung ultimately decided to leave them.

Meanwhile, Park Yoon-sung's pursuit of Woo Hyun-jin continued. He promised to be a reliable support for both Hyun-jin and Woo-joo, claiming to know how to give love better than anyone. He even confronted Tae-hyung, questioning if his presence was causing more harm to Hyun-jin due to Kyu-tae's dangerous actions.

Seeing Yoon-sung bring joy to Hyun-jin, Tae-hyung remarked with a bittersweet smile, "Anyone can see that there's someone better than me by her side." Tae-hyung's wavering gaze, as he noticed Hyun-jin appearing happier with Yoon-sung, added intrigue to the future of their relationship.

Yoon-sung continued to fill the void left by Tae-hyung. At Woo-joo's kindergarten recital, Hyun-jin hesitated to contact Tae-hyung. Observing other children surrounded by family, she began to worry about Woo-joo feeling isolated. Not wanting Woo-joo to experience the same loneliness she felt as a child, Hyun-jin was surprised by Yoon-sung's sudden appearance. The question remains whether Yoon-sung's unwavering pursuit will alter the dynamics of their relationships.
