New Drama 'How to Become a Building Owner in Korea' Unveils Intriguing Poster Featuring Ha Jung-woo and Lim Soo-jung
Set to premiere on March 14, 'How to Become a Building Owner in Korea' (hereafter referred to as 'Building Owner') is a suspenseful tale about a struggling building owner who, in a bid to protect his family and property, becomes involved in a fake kidnapping scheme. The drama explores the extreme lengths people will go to in pursuit of the dream of property ownership, a common aspiration among South Koreans. As the story unfolds, the protagonist, Ki Soo-jong (played by Ha Jung-woo), clings to the hope of redevelopment while navigating a precarious situation. The intertwining desires of those surrounding the building lead to unpredictable developments.
The released poster vividly captures the 'hidden desires amidst conflicting gazes' of the 'Building Owner' protagonists. It highlights the anxious gaze of 'all-in building owner' Ki Soo-jong, the secretive look of his determined wife Kim Sun (played by Lim Soo-jung), the ambitious gaze of his friend Min Hwal-seong (played by Kim Jun-han), the sharp gaze of Min Hwal-seong's wife Jeon Yi-kyung (played by Jung Soo-jung) who faces tumultuous events, and the cold gaze of the villain Yona (played by Shim Eun-kyung) who watches them all. These diverse desires set the stage for inevitable clashes.
The actors' ability to convey suspense through their eyes is particularly striking. Ha Jung-woo, Lim Soo-jung, Kim Jun-han, Jung Soo-jung, and Shim Eun-kyung infuse their characters with desire through their gazes, exuding an overwhelming presence. Their divergent perspectives create palpable tension, sparking curiosity about the stories that will unfold within their complex relationships.
'How to Become a Building Owner in Korea' premieres on Saturday, March 14, at 9:10 PM.
