Nam Gyu-ri's Short Drama 'Human Market' Advances to French Festival Finals
On the 1st, Nam Gyu-ri's official YouTube channel 'Nam Gyu-ri's Gyul-mung' released a video titled 'Ep.36 Actress Nam Gyu-ri Drama [Human Market] Script Reading & Premiere Behind-the-Scenes! Are We Going to a French Awards Ceremony?'.
The video captures the vibrant script reading session marking the official launch of the drama 'Human Market'. Nam Gyu-ri, who plays the lead role of 'Lee Mi-ro', captivated the reading session by perfectly embodying various emotional scenes.
Nam Gyu-ri expressed her gratitude, saying, "It's a great honor to work with a good script, a great writer, director, and above all, wonderful actors." She added, "I will do my best to ensure that this work is remembered as a truly beautiful piece, just like the name Mi-ro."
She continued, "We filmed a scene where I cried on the street in the coldest weather transitioning from fall to winter, while being sprayed with water," highlighting her dedication to the role. The video also captures the warm camaraderie built with fellow actors during filming.
At the premiere, fellow actors expressed their gratitude and affection for Nam Gyu-ri, saying, "There were many things to worry about on set, and it wasn't easy to smile, but your constant smiles were a great source of strength," and "Your sincerity always shone through your eyes when acting," hinting at the harmonious atmosphere and strong teamwork on set.

It has achieved the feat of advancing to the finals in the short-form competition category at the TV festival held in Lille, France. At the premiere, director Kim Seung-ho expressed his deep trust, saying, "I was so happy to hear that Nam Gyu-ri accepted the casting that I popped champagne and cut a cake." He added, "Nam Gyu-ri has such diverse charms that I would love to work with her in a comedy or action genre next," praising her highly.
