Kim Hyun-joong Reflects on 'Boys Over Flowers' Fame and Earnings
On the 27th, a video titled "We Invited the Sleeping Universe Star!│B-grade Hearing RE:BOOT EP.14" was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'B-grade Studio'.
In the video, the panelists asked Kim Hyun-joong if he had any memorable lines from 'Boys Over Flowers'. Without hesitation, Kim replied, "There are many. 'With a white cloth and the wind, I can go anywhere.' 'Make me one then, Geum Jan-di, an honorary firefighter,'" causing laughter.
When asked if 'Boys Over Flowers' was his debut work and how popular it was, Kim Hyun-joong responded, "The popularity was overwhelming to the point I couldn't feel it. I couldn't go outside because I was shooting commercials as soon as I woke up," leaving everyone in awe.
Kim Hyun-joong also addressed past controversies. Regarding the assault allegations, he stated, "Even in a situation where I just pushed, it was recognized as assault, and I was fined 5 million won. I didn't expect it to escalate like this," expressing indifference.
Regarding the 1.6 billion won lawsuit with his ex-girlfriend, he said, "Everything is settled now," and added, "It took a long time to be acquitted. I neither gained nor lost anything from the lengthy process."
He particularly emphasized, "I know there's no turning back. I don't dwell on the past. I believe the future is more important," and added, "There's no need to feel wronged. Being a celebrity taught me that being acquitted doesn't mean you're truly innocent," sharing his composed feelings.
