Tensions Rise as Choo Sung-hoon Expresses Frustration Towards Cha Seung-won in 'Cha Family'
In the 8th episode of tvN's real gangster sitcom 'Cha Family', the story unfolds as the Cha Family heads to Busan for kimchi research. The boss, Cha Seung-won, is eyeing a new venture, and the mixed reactions from his subordinates are expected to add intrigue.
Boss Cha Seung-won, who has introduced 'kimchi' as a new business item, checks on the kimchi he prepared before the trip as soon as they arrive in Busan. Confirming the deepened flavor over the past few days, he expands his plans with a meaningful expression. However, Choo Sung-hoon reveals his complex feelings about the boss's ambitious move, saying, "It feels like we're suddenly up against the major leagues."
During a brief moment of free time, an unexpected 'sauna alliance' is formed. Choo Sung-hoon and DinDin head to the sauna and, away from boss Cha Seung-won, they unleash a torrent of complaints, calling him "a complete king," which brings laughter. However, as they near their lodging, they suddenly switch to loyalty mode, adding to the humor.
The kimchi war for the new business finally begins. Boss Cha Seung-won drops a bombshell directive for each member to create their 'personal kimchi.' With no experience in kimchi-making, Choo Sung-hoon shocks the headquarters with his intimidating-looking kimchi, while Tommy and Danny Koo team up to create a unique radish kimchi. DinDin, dreaming of independence, continues his innovative attempt with 'Vancouver Kimchi' using maple syrup, despite the boss's dissuasion.
During the tasting session, evaluations of the 'personal kimchi' are conducted alongside freshly boiled boss-style pork, leading to unexpected results. With mixed reviews of praise and criticism, curiosity is piqued about which kimchi will capture boss Cha Seung-won's discerning eye and hold the key to the new business, and how the boss's true intentions will be revealed.
tvN's 'Cha Family' airs its 8th episode on the 26th at 8:40 PM.
