KBS Drama 'Red Pearl' Unveils Suspenseful Murder Mystery and Dramatic Births
In a gripping turn of events, Park Jin-hee uncovers clues suggesting her sister's death was not an accident but a murder.

The third episode of KBS 2TV's daily drama 'Red Pearl' (directed by Kim Sung-geun, written by Kim Seo-jung, produced by DK E&M and Monster Union), aired on the evening of the 25th, hinted that the murderer of Kim Myung-hee (played by Park Jin-hee) was Oh Jung-ran (played by Kim Hee-jung). The episode garnered a viewership rating of 8.7% nationwide, according to Nielsen Korea, continuing its successful run. Notably, the first episode, which aired on the 23rd, achieved a 9.0% rating, marking the highest viewership for a KBS 2TV daily drama in two years.

In the previous episode, Kim Dan-hee (also played by Park Jin-hee), the twin sister of the deceased Kim Myung-hee, discovered that her sister's unborn child was still alive. Despite failing to save her sister, she was determined to save her niece or nephew, teaming up with Dr. Baek Joon-ki (played by Nam Sung-jin) for an emergency surgery. However, the operating room was already occupied by Baek Joon-ki's wife, who was about to give birth, leading to a tense situation where both women were in the same room for simultaneous childbirth and surgery.

Nurse Kim Dan-hee assisted Baek Joon-ki, ensuring both mothers safely delivered their babies. The simultaneous birth of the two children hinted at a fateful connection that could lead to a significant upheaval in the future. After the emergency, Dan-hee was overwhelmed with grief in front of her sister's cold body, moving viewers to tears.

Dr. Baek Joon-ki discovered mysterious marks on Kim Myung-hee's neck, suggesting foul play. Kim Dan-hee, who had previously seen Oh Jung-ran and Song Geun-tae (played by Lee Myung-ho) near Park Tae-ho's villa, suspected them as the culprits and vowed revenge, saying, "I will find them and kill them." However, she soon collapsed from exhaustion, evoking sympathy.

Meanwhile, Oh Jung-ran and Song Geun-tae's sinister conversation revealed their involvement in Kim Myung-hee's death, adding to the suspense. Oh Jung-ran confessed the murder to her husband, Park Tae-ho (played by Choi Jae-sung), who, concerned about the impact on his company's image ahead of a major contract, decided to cover up the incident, even involving the police.

Returning to Park Tae-ho's villa to ensure the situation was under control, Song Geun-tae was shocked to find the body missing. After investigating, he learned that Myung-hee's child was alive and reported this to Oh Jung-ran, who, driven by her relentless malice, plotted to take the child, creating a tense atmosphere.

At the end of the episode, Kim Dan-hee, aware that Oh Jung-ran and Song Geun-tae were after the child, made a desperate escape with the baby, aided by her friend Jung Yoon-jung (played by Ha Jae-sook) and Dr. Baek Joon-ki, delivering a nail-biting 'cliffhanger ending.'

The fourth episode of KBS 2TV's daily drama 'Red Pearl' airs tonight (26th) at 7:50 PM.
