Kim Jung-hyun Takes on Role of Mysterious Startup CEO in New Drama 'Siren'

Actor Kim Jung-hyun is set to portray startup CEO Baek Jun-beom in the upcoming tvN drama 'Siren', premiering on March 2.

In 'Siren', airing next month, Cha Woo-seok (played by Wi Ha-joon) and Baek Jun-beom (played by Kim Jung-hyun) become entangled with art auctioneer Han Seol-ah (played by Park Min-young) for their own reasons. The drama promises to showcase the captivating charms of these two distinct characters.

Cha Woo-seok is an insurance investigator with a unique intuition and determination to uncover the truth, especially when it involves unscrupulous individuals who trade lives for money. He suspects Han Seol-ah, who has a mysterious past involving the deaths of her former lovers, of insurance fraud and closely monitors her every move. His relentless pursuit of the truth gradually turns into genuine curiosity and feelings for Han Seol-ah, leading to a potential unraveling of his rationality. Viewers are eager to see where Cha Woo-seok's unwavering pursuit of Han Seol-ah will lead.

On the other hand, Baek Jun-beom is a mysterious and confident emerging tycoon, whose every move is shrouded in secrecy. After winning a high-stakes auction at Royal Auction, he quickly becomes a VIP and leaves a lasting impression on Han Seol-ah. With the goal of making Han Seol-ah his own, Baek Jun-beom demonstrates meticulousness and confidence, knowing her preferences and personal details inside out.

An animated film teaser has been released, hinting at the beginning of a love that leads to death, further piquing curiosity about Han Seol-ah. The teaser opens with Park Min-young's soft narration, "People called them Sirens," introducing the myth of Sirens whose songs lead people to their demise.

The phrase "The Siren's song neither held nor chased away; people simply chose the Siren's song themselves" evokes the men who succumbed to Han Seol-ah's allure and met their end. This raises the question of whether the men around Han Seol-ah, like sailors who willingly chose the Siren's song despite knowing its deadly end, will also face ruin.

'Siren' premieres on March 2 at 8:50 PM.
