Shim Hyun-seop Shares IVF Journey with Wife Jung Young-rim on 'Joseon's Love Warriors'

Shim Hyun-seop opens up about his wife Jung Young-rim's IVF journey on 'Joseon's Love Warriors'.

On the October 23rd episode of TV Chosun's 'Joseon's Love Warriors', the second part of the 'Love Tree Special Forces' trip was aired, featuring couples Shim Hyun-seop & Jung Young-rim, Bae Ki-sung & Lee Eun-bi, and Yoon Jung-soo & Won Jin-seo as they traveled to Gyeongju to prepare for their second child.

During dinner, Jung Young-rim left the table to take her IVF medication on time. Earlier, she had revealed, "I'm undergoing IVF treatment, and a few hours ago, I noticed some bleeding. It could be implantation bleeding," surprising everyone with the news.

Shim Hyun-seop, watching his wife, remarked, "I don't think men could take medication on time if they were told to set an alarm for it, but women do it," expressing his admiration. Bae Ki-sung's wife, Lee Eun-bi, agreed, saying, "We do it for us."

Shim Hyun-seop discussed the increasing number of couples facing infertility, saying, "Elders often ask why young women aren't having children after marriage. I've been to the hospital nine times for IVF, and there are so many young couples trying."

He shared his concerns, "Last year, my wife said, 'I don't have much time left.' We're trying IVF, but age is a factor." Jung Young-rim, who is 44, has reportedly quit her job of 16 years to focus on having a child.

Listening to the different perspectives on pregnancy, Hwang Bo-ra expressed her anxiety, saying, "I'm 44 this year, and I've heard I could experience early menopause." Yoon Jung-soo's wife, Won Jin-seo, also shared her honest feelings about the time constraints, saying, "I feel anxious."

Meanwhile, the three couples consulted with obstetrician-gynecologist Kim Ji-yeon about pregnancy. Shim Hyun-seop was amused when he learned that men need to prepare their bodies for three months, including quitting smoking and reducing alcohol consumption.
