MBC Drama 'In Your Glorious Season' Unveils Hidden Past and Sparks New Beginnings

The latest episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'In Your Glorious Season' (directed by Jung Sang-hee, Kim Young-jae/written by Jo Sung-hee) aired on the night of the 21st, revealing a turning point in the relationship between Song Ha-ran (played by Lee Sung-kyung) and Sun Woo-chan (played by Chae Jong-hyeop).

The episode recorded a nationwide household rating of 3.5% and a metropolitan household rating of 3.2%, according to Nielsen Korea, marking a 0.9% decrease from the previous episode's 4.4%.

The episode began from Sun Woo-chan's perspective, who had lost his memory after an explosion seven years ago. Upon seeing Song Ha-ran on the Jamsu Bridge, his memories resurfaced like fragments, and he realized that Ha-ran's confession of love was not a hallucination. The flashback scene, accompanied by the Goldberg Variations Aria recommended by Ha-ran, heightened the emotional intensity.

A shocking twist was also revealed: Ha-ran's ex-boyfriend was not Sun Woo-chan but his roommate Kang Hyuk-chan (played by Kwon Do-hyung). In the past, Woo-chan had communicated with Ha-ran via online messenger on Hyuk-chan's behalf, growing closer to her. The misunderstanding began when Hyuk-chan's laptop was swapped during a vacation, revealing another secret about their intertwined memories.

Meeting Ha-ran after seven years, Woo-chan was flustered when she suspected him of being a stalker. Ha-ran questioned how Woo-chan, a stranger, knew her name, and he awkwardly tried to explain. During this, Woo-chan discovered that Ha-ran was being stalked and saved her from danger once again.

Their unexpected connection continued at Café Rest. When the café owner Park Man-jae (played by Kang Seok-woo) collapsed, regular customer Woo-chan decided to stay at Man-jae's house for three months to care for him. Meanwhile, Ha-ran took care of Man-jae's dog, Genius, while he was hospitalized. Their encounters at Ha-ran's sanctuary hinted at a new phase in their relationship.

Meanwhile, the reunion of Kim Na-na (played by Lee Mi-sook) and Park Man-jae hinted at another generational romance. Na-na, meeting Man-jae after 55 years, was relieved to learn that Ha-ran had been spending time at Café Rest. Discovering Ha-ran's note with Woo-chan's name, Na-na arranged a meal for them under the guise of work.

However, the atmosphere was short-lived. Woo-chan experienced severe pain from high-frequency noise from the restaurant speakers and confessed to Ha-ran that he had lost hearing in his left ear. In the ensuing commotion, Woo-chan's clothes were stained with food, and Ha-ran's fountain pen went missing. Ha-ran helped Woo-chan clean up with her scarf, bringing them closer and sparking excitement among viewers.

Realizing she lost the fountain pen, a gift from Hyuk-chan, Ha-ran was anxious. It was revealed that Woo-chan had chosen and engraved the pen, drawing attention to their future relationship.

Determined to bring spring to Ha-ran, who had once given him hope, Woo-chan confessed, "I want to meddle in each other's business, owe each other, and have fun together. Can I start being really good to you now?" His straightforward confession reignited the halted time, bringing excitement to the audience.

As the hidden stories surrounding the accident seven years ago begin to unfold, the 'mutual salvation' of Ha-ran and Woo-chan has commenced. With the truth gradually being revealed, viewers are eager to see if Ha-ran and Woo-chan will face the same season together again.
