Former baseball player Lee Dae-hyung has transformed into a shaman in the teaser video for the '2026 World Baseball Classic'.

On the 19th, KBS released a teaser video featuring commentators Park Yong-taek and Lee Dae-hyung to build excitement for the upcoming '2026 World Baseball Classic' (WBC), which is set to thrill baseball fans worldwide.

The 2026 WBC, taking place from March 5th to 17th, is the premier international baseball tournament where top-tier players compete for national pride. With nail-biting matches anticipated, KBS plans to deliver an unparalleled viewing experience with Park Yong-taek and Lee Dae-hyung at the helm.

The two commentators will kick off their WBC coverage with the national team's official evaluation match against the Hanshin Tigers, airing on KBS 2TV at 11:40 AM on March 2nd. They will continue with the second evaluation match against the Orix Buffaloes at 11:50 AM on March 3rd, providing an in-depth analysis of the team's performance ahead of the main event.

The teaser video captivates with its unique concept, highlighting the commentators' distinct personas. Lee Dae-hyung, armed with bells and a fan, exudes a mystical aura as a shaman, leaving a strong impression. Known for his keen insights and remarkable accuracy, he intriguingly states, "People say I'm possessed, but I'm not." He then transforms into a detective with a trench coat and magnifying glass, confidently declaring, "If you look closely, you can see everything. I'll keep a close eye on this WBC."

In contrast, Park Yong-taek shocks everyone with his bold prediction, "Trust me, the South Korean team will be eliminated!" However, it's quickly explained that "Yong-taek's words have a reverse effect," highlighting his history of inaccurate predictions, which brings laughter. Ultimately, they decide to harness Park Yong-taek's "power" to support the South Korean team, ending with the witty message, "KBS supports the South Korean team."
