Heartfelt Bond: Sunwoo Yong-yeo and Park Mi-sun's Emotional Reunion Amid Cancer Battle

Sunwoo Yong-yeo expressed her heartfelt motherly affection towards her 'adoptive daughter' Park Mi-sun, who is currently battling cancer.

On the 18th, the YouTube channel 'Soonpoong Sunwoo Yong-yeo' released a video titled 'Finally Reunited: Park Mi-sun and Sunwoo Yong-yeo's Tearful Lunar New Year Meal (Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Anchovy Potato Stew)'.

Sunwoo Yong-yeo invited Park Mi-sun to her home and prepared a Lunar New Year meal. The two have maintained a mother-daughter relationship for over 30 years since meeting on the sitcom 'Soonpoong Clinic'. After shaving her head due to cancer treatment, Park Mi-sun shared, "My hair fell out once and grew back like a baby's hair." Sunwoo Yong-yeo warmly welcomed her, saying, "Your hair is beautiful. It's fashion."

Recalling their first meeting, Park Mi-sun said, "We first met on 'Soonpoong Clinic' and shared a dressing room. We talked about everything, meeting three times a week, sometimes daily." Sunwoo Yong-yeo reflected, "I felt drawn to her because she reminded me of my younger self." She added, "She worked tirelessly for her husband, just like I did. I advised her to live diligently and not seek recognition." Park Mi-sun agreed, "You told me not to boast about earning money in front of my husband."

Sunwoo Yong-yeo emphasized humility, saying, "In a household, if one spouse succeeds, the other might not. We're similar, and that's why men don't succeed around us. But we shouldn't brag about it." Park Mi-sun laughed, "I've felt apologetic ever since you said that."

Park Mi-sun shared, "We grew closer and later met on 'Sebakwi'. She's the only one in the entertainment industry I call 'mom'. She calls me her daughter and gets emotional when talking about me." Sunwoo Yong-yeo had previously expressed on 'Radio Star', "I wonder how she lives so similarly to how I did." Park Mi-sun is a trigger for Sunwoo Yong-yeo's tears. Park Mi-sun expressed gratitude, "It's genuine affection. It's rare to have someone treat you like their own child or parent." Sunwoo Yong-yeo added, "Parents naturally worry more about their sick children." Both have faced health battles, with Sunwoo Yong-yeo having suffered a stroke and Park Mi-sun battling cancer. Park Mi-sun concluded, "Mom is loyal. Once she likes someone, she stays committed."
