Park Sung-woong Triumphs in Netflix's 'Death Game', Wins 10 Million Won
In the fifth episode of Netflix's daily variety show 'Death Game' (directed by Kwon Dae-hyun, produced by TEO), released on the 18th, a thrilling one-on-one intellectual showdown unfolded between actor Park Sung-woong and YouTuber Pani Bottle.
Park Sung-woong, a law major from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, entered the 'Death Game' with his characteristic logical thinking and poker face. Commentator Jang Dong-min expressed his anticipation, saying, "I worked with him on 'Crime Scene,' and he has a high understanding of games and a tremendous competitive spirit." His opponent was Pani Bottle, a travel YouTuber with 2.5 million subscribers and a survival program producer. Jang Dong-min, referencing their connection through the 'Bloody Game' series, analyzed, "He's a good player who provokes his opponents well."
Pani Bottle, upon seeing Park Sung-woong, couldn't hide his surprise, asking, "Are you the dealer?" He confessed, "I was initially stunned because someone I didn't expect to be here was present," and when Park Sung-woong, with his unique cold charisma, said, "There's no physical contact," Pani Bottle couldn't even make eye contact, eliciting laughter.
Pani Bottle, boasting skills honed from traveling the world alone, aimed to use psychological warfare to his advantage, stating, "I think I can exploit being underestimated and will do what I want freely." Park Sung-woong, known for his unshakeable poker face, humorously wrote in his notebook, "Minimize bleeding when folding," showcasing his unique strategy.
The 'Show Me the Coin' game spanned 13 rounds. From the start, Park Sung-woong meticulously used his coin count and bold bets to apply psychological pressure on Pani Bottle, dominating the game's flow. A nail-biting match ensued, with a mere 10-coin difference deciding the outcome. Jang Dong-min humorously remarked on Pani Bottle's critical mistake, "Even my 24-month-old second child at home knows that." Ultimately, the victory went to Park Sung-woong, who not only excelled in psychological warfare but also in strategy, becoming the winner of the fifth episode.
Having secured the seed of victory and the 10 million won prize, Park Sung-woong expressed, "The game unfolded as I thought, and I feel sorry for Pani Bottle." His exceptional performance led caster Park Sang-hyun to excitedly announce, "A beast has arrived in 'Death Game.'" His next opponent is Yang Na-rae, a divorce attorney. After confirming his next opponent, Park Sung-woong declared his intention to pursue a second consecutive win, heightening anticipation for the upcoming showdown.
Meanwhile, 'Death Game' is released every Wednesday at 5 PM on Netflix.
