K-Drama 'I'll Give You the Universe' Hits Low Ratings Despite Emotional Plot Twists

The tvN drama 'I'll Give You the Universe,' starring Roh Jeong-eui and Bae In-hyuk, has recorded a low viewership rating of 1.3%. Roh Jeong-eui, known for her doll-like visuals and impressive acting skills honed since her child actor days, was previously cast as the lead in MBC's 'Bunny and the Oppas,' which concluded with a 0.8% rating. Unfortunately, her latest project is also struggling to capture a larger audience.

In the fifth episode aired on the 18th, viewers saw Seon Tae-hyung (played by Bae In-hyuk) coming to terms with his feelings for Woo Hyun-jin (played by Roh Jeong-eui). The episode featured Woo Hyun-jin comforting Seon Tae-hyung's past wounds and his heartfelt confession, which heightened the emotional stakes for the audience.

Woo Hyun-jin confided in Park Yoon-sung (played by Park Seo-ham) about her living situation with Seon Tae-hyung. Seon Tae-hyung, upon learning that Park Yoon-sung was Woo Hyun-jin's first love, felt a pang of jealousy and frustration over Woo Hyun-jin's attempts to hide her relationship with him and Woo-joo (played by Park Yoo-ho). Despite Woo Hyun-jin's apologies, Seon Tae-hyung's sharp words revealed his inner turmoil.

The tension between Seon Tae-hyung and Woo Hyun-jin continued as they went camping with friends. An awkward atmosphere prevailed, and Seon Tae-hyung overheard Woo Hyun-jin's cold remark about their living arrangement, prompting him to distance himself further. A mishap during a meal only deepened their conflict.

However, Seon Tae-hyung soon learned from Kim Ji-hyun (played by Han Ji-hyo) that Woo Hyun-jin was saddened by his impending departure. Realizing his misunderstanding, Seon Tae-hyung sought out Woo Hyun-jin, finding her waiting for rescue in the woods. A sudden rainstorm halted them, leading to a heartfelt exchange where Woo Hyun-jin expressed her reliance on Seon Tae-hyung.

Seon Tae-hyung shared his childhood memories of waiting in vain on rainy days, revealing a connection to Seon Woo-jin (played by Ha Jun). Woo Hyun-jin offered her support, promising to be his umbrella whenever needed, bringing them closer.

Following this, Seon Tae-hyung fell ill, and Woo Hyun-jin, despite her plans with Park Yoon-sung, couldn't shake her concern for him. She returned home early, realizing her growing attachment.

Seon Tae-hyung also began to acknowledge his feelings, noticing the affection in photos he took of Woo Hyun-jin. As he gazed at her caring face, he confessed, "I like you, Woo Hyun-jin. I find myself waiting for you," stirring viewers' hearts.
