'I Am SOLO' Episode 30: Unexpected Choices Stir Emotions Among Contestants

On the latest episode of SBS Plus and ENA's reality show 'I Am SOLO,' aired on the 18th, the contestants faced emotional turmoil following their first dates and new date selections.

After completing their initial dates, the singles gathered in the common living room. Jeong-sook expressed interest in Young-chul, saying, "I thought you might be emotionally volatile, but you seem responsible and genuine." Meanwhile, Young-soo, who was not chosen by Young-ja and had to eat alone, admitted, "I'm completely confused right now." Sang-chul showed interest in Soon-ja during a private conversation, but Soon-ja later revealed in an interview that she still preferred Young-chul, describing him as more of a romantic. She added that she didn't choose Young-soo, her initial pick, just to play hard to get.

While Young-ho was away for an interview, Young-sook approached Kwang-soo, expressing that she had added him to her list of interests after hearing his introduction. Ok-soon also pulled Young-chul aside to ask if there was a difference in meaning between being called first or second for a one-on-one date. Young-chul, caught off guard, said he needed time to think before answering, which frustrated Ok-soon.

Young-soo showed his gentlemanly side by bringing a blanket to Ok-soon, who was waiting in the cold for Young-chul's response. When Young-chul finally spoke to Ok-soon, he gently suggested she explore other options, leaving her disappointed. Young-chul, feeling uneasy, took a walk to clear his mind.

Young-ho, in front of Young-soo, asked Young-ja for a conversation, directly inquiring if she was interested in him. Young-ja replied that she initially was but realized she wasn't his type. Young-ho asked if her feelings might change with more effort from him, but Young-ja admitted her strong interest in Young-sik.

The next morning, Young-soo borrowed sunscreen from Soon-ja and ran into Young-ja, his top choice, but chose to talk with Soon-ja outside. He confessed to Soon-ja that he felt comfortable with one person but was more intrigued by another, revealing Young-ja as his top choice. Meanwhile, Young-ja told Young-sik she would choose Young-soo for a second date. After talking with Soon-ja, Young-soo returned to Young-ja but was called away by Ok-soon.

Ok-soon thanked Young-soo for the blanket, to which he replied it was because she felt like a younger sister. Ok-soon boldly asked if he could see her differently, leaving Young-soo confused. Young-sook, feeling neglected by her initial pick Young-soo, gave Young-ho a recovery drink, noting his tiredness.

Later, the contestants gathered for a new round of date selections. This time, the men chose daytime dates, and the women chose nighttime dates simultaneously. Young-soo surprised everyone by choosing Soon-ja over his top choice, Young-ja. Young-ho also shocked by picking Hyun-sook instead of Young-sook, who felt "betrayed" after gifting him a recovery drink.

In contrast, Young-sik went straight to Young-ja as expected, and Young-chul chose Soon-ja, leading to a 2:1 date with Young-soo. Kwang-soo picked Ok-soon, and Sang-chul chose Young-sook, leaving Jeong-sook without a date. The preview hinted at Young-sook's anger over Young-ho's choice and a tense date between Young-sik and Young-ja, contrasting their previous laughter-filled encounter.
