Volleyball Star Kim Yeon-koung Shares Hilarious Rivalry Story with SEVENTEEN's Boo Seungkwan

Volleyball legend Kim Yeon-koung recently shared a humorous anecdote about SEVENTEEN's Boo Seungkwan, revealing her past feelings of disappointment when he supported a rival team.

On Kim Yeon-koung's YouTube channel 'Bread Sister Kim Yeon-koung,' a video titled 'A Volleyball Match with Manager Seungkwan! Today, Not a Rookie Coach, But Volleyball Player Kim Yeon-koung' was uploaded.

In the video, Boo Seungkwan, who previously worked with Kim on the variety show 'Rookie Coach Kim Yeon-koung,' appeared and expressed his deep love for volleyball.

Kim candidly shared her first impression of Boo, saying, "Honestly, I didn't like Seungkwan much back then because he was a die-hard fan of the women's volleyball team Jeonggwanjang." At the time, Kim's team, Heungkuk Life, and Jeonggwanjang were fierce rivals, so Boo's enthusiastic support for the opposing team was not well-received.

Recalling the situation, Kim said, "After the matches, Seungkwan would always go to greet the players of the opposing team. It didn't bother me when we won, but seeing him congratulate them after we lost while I was stretching was really annoying," she confessed, bringing laughter to the scene.

Boo empathized, saying, "I would have been annoyed too," but defended his actions by recalling, "That day was the only time Jeonggwanjang beat Heungkuk Life that season, and I couldn't hide my joy even on the subway ride home."

The tension between them melted away as they worked together on the show. Kim admitted, "When I first heard Seungkwan would be my manager, I wasn't thrilled, but after meeting him, I found him to be a really great person." She now holds a strong trust and affection for Boo.

Boo also shared, "There was a time when I couldn't even catch her eye because of her incredible charisma," and jokingly added, "I was jealous when I found out she knew my member Hoshi before me," showcasing their close friendship.
