Yoo Jae-suk, Jung Joon-ha, and Park Myung-soo Relive Bobsleigh Memories on 'Hangout with Yoo'

Yoo Jae-suk, Jung Joon-ha, and Park Myung-soo took a nostalgic ride down memory lane as they revisited bobsleighing after 17 years on the popular MBC variety show 'Hangout with Yoo.'

The episode, which aired on October 14, featured Yoo Jae-suk (Pae Organ), Haha (Old Mixed), Heo Kyung-hwan (Sweat), Joo Woo-jae (Lee Yoon-seok), Jung Joon-ha (Gangnam Station Byun Woo-seok), and new member Park Myung-soo in the 'Comma, Club Gangwon-do Lightning' segment.

The show's viewership ratings in the metropolitan area reached 5.2%, showing an increase from the previous episode. The key demographic of viewers aged 20 to 54 recorded a 2.9% rating, maintaining its position as the top Saturday variety show. The most-watched moment was when Yoo Jae-suk, Jung Joon-ha, and Park Myung-soo shared their emotional reflections after the bobsleigh experience, with ratings peaking at 7.1% according to Nielsen Korea.

Yoo Jae-suk led the members to the birthplace of the Gangneung Coffee Street and prepared a bobsleigh experience as a 'selective tour' winter activity. The experience cost 59,000 won, with 9,000 won set aside for a team record competition. The novice team of Haha, Heo Kyung-hwan, and Joo Woo-jae shed tears at the thrilling speed, with Haha visibly weakened by the experience.

In contrast, Yoo Jae-suk, Jung Joon-ha, and Park Myung-soo showcased their 'veteran' prowess, recalling their bobsleigh experience from 17 years ago on 'Infinite Challenge.' Yoo Jae-suk reminisced, "How long has it been since the three of us did this?" while Jung Joon-ha expressed fear, and Park Myung-soo humorously retorted, "It's scarier when there's nothing to do." The juxtaposition of their past selves at ages 38, 39, and 40 with their present-day selves evoked a sense of nostalgia as they relied on each other like lifelines during the ride.

After the exhilarating run, Yoo Jae-suk was the first to disembark, offering high-fives and holding his brothers' hands tightly. When Park Myung-soo and Jung Joon-ha remarked, "It reminded me of the old days," Yoo Jae-suk admitted, "I was touched too," reflecting on the poignant moment. The 'Hyung' team's experience led to a beautiful victory, and everyone appreciated Yoo Jae-suk's excellent course selection. The episode concluded with a message of support for the South Korean national team competing in the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.

However, the preview for the next episode hinted at a potential rift in the 'Comma, Club' as their hard-earned camaraderie seemed to crumble, sparking curiosity.

Meanwhile, the Lunar New Year special of MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo' will air on October 21, starting 10 minutes earlier than usual at 6:20 PM.
