Channel A's 'Chef and Hunters' Fails Tuna Hunt but Delights with Unique Indonesian Feast
Previously, the hunters had successfully caught a massive 2.5m shark, boosting their confidence as they continued their quest to catch their target, the tuna. Im Woo-il demonstrated his 'net skill' by effortlessly scooping up squids, keeping the team's spirits high. As the night wore on and the hunters began to tire, Im Woo-il cheered them on with shouts of 'Fighting!' and humorously remarked, "Fishing is done with the heart, not the head."
However, determination alone wasn't enough. The tuna cleverly avoided the hooks, only nibbling on the bait, and ultimately, the hunters failed to catch any tuna within the time limit. Disappointed, they returned to base camp empty-handed.
Despite the setback, Chef Edward Lee prepared a final feast in Labuan Bajo, unveiling wild boar meat that had been buried with charcoal the previous day. The perfectly cooked boar impressed the hunters. Chef Edward Lee, known for his popularity on 'Black and White Chef,' introduced a unique dish called 'Wild Boar Hotteok,' combining American-style pulled pork with Korean-style hotteok bread.
Chef Edward Lee, attempting squid sundae for the first time, added papaya to the wild boar filling, creating a novel combination. He even crafted a makeshift bamboo steamer to cook the squid sundae. The resulting wild boar hotteok and squid sundae were visually stunning and marked the pinnacle of their Indonesian feast.
With special member Kyung Soo-jin absent, Edward Lee, Choo Sung-hoon, Im Woo-il, and Kim Dae-ho concluded their hunt in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia, and moved on to their next hunting ground, the remote island of Coron in the Philippines. Anticipation builds as viewers wonder what prey they will encounter in the Philippines.
