'I Am SOLO' Star Young-sook Addresses Career Rumors and Clarifies Intentions

Young-sook from the 28th season of 'I Am SOLO' has dismissed rumors surrounding her career.

On the 11th, Young-sook took to her social media to engage with fans and answer their questions. When asked if being a nurse at an oriental medicine clinic meant she was a nursing assistant, Young-sook responded, "Would I lie on a broadcast?" and shared a photo of her name badge from her time at Seoul National University Hospital.

She further discussed the credibility of the 'I Am SOLO' program, stating, "Participants must prove everything they say, including graduation, employment, and criminal records." She emphasized that this thorough verification process increased her trust in the participants.

Young-sook also addressed rumors that she joined the show for group purchasing purposes. She explained, "I applied after my brother's suggestion following my divorce," adding that the meticulous vetting by the show's PD gave her confidence to trust men again and actively pursue relationships.

Regarding group purchasing offers, she expressed gratitude, saying, "I appreciate the support for single moms," but clarified that her primary reason for joining was to trust men again.

On her job as a nurse at an oriental medicine clinic, Young-sook stated, "It's very comfortable, which is why I made the switch." She noted that while the income is less than at a Western hospital, it allows her to conserve energy, which is crucial as she manages her child's school and extracurricular activities alone. "I can't afford to exhaust myself with shift work or emergency room duties," she added.

Additionally, Young-sook revealed that although she became a final couple with Kyung-soo on the show, they decided to remain good friends after the broadcast.

Young-sook appeared on SBS Plus and ENA's 'I Am SOLO' season 28, where she was matched with Kyung-soo as a final couple. However, she later disclosed during a YouTube live broadcast that they did not continue as a couple in real life.
