Shim Eun-kyung Returns to Korean Drama with 'How to Become a Building Owner in Korea' After 6 Years
Premiering on November 14, 'Building Owner' is a suspense drama about a struggling building owner who gets involved in a fake kidnapping plot to protect his family and property. The series stars Ha Jung-woo, Im Soo-jung, Kim Jun-han, Jung Soo-jung, and Shim Eun-kyung.
Shim Eun-kyung takes on the role of Yona, a mysterious operative at Real Capital. Yona is a cold and ruthless character who avoids forming deep relationships. Real Capital, the company Yona works for, is pushing a redevelopment project in the area where Ki Soo-jong's (played by Ha Jung-woo) building is located. Although the company appears legitimate, it is known for completing its projects by any means necessary. Yona comes to Korea to resolve issues related to the redevelopment project and encounters the unexpected variable, Ki Soo-jong, whom she ends up threatening.
This marks Shim Eun-kyung's return to Korean drama after six years since tvN's 'Money Game.' Her transformation into Yona is drawing significant attention. Shim Eun-kyung has proven her acting prowess on the global stage, being the first Korean actress to win the Japan Academy Prize and recently receiving the Kinema Junpo Best Actress Award. Fans are eager to see what impact she will make with her portrayal of Yona.
The production team stated, "Shim Eun-kyung has completed Yona's character with meticulous analysis. Look forward to her performance that elevates the suspense in 'Building Owner.'"
'Building Owner' will premiere on November 14 at 9:10 PM.
