MBC's 'The Best of the Best' Set to Premiere: Star-Studded Lineup Revealed

Kim Myung-jin, the director of 'The Best of the Best,' unveiled part of the show's star-studded lineup at the production press conference.

On the 11th, a press conference for MBC's variety show 'The Best of the Best' was held at the Golden Mouse Hall in the MBC Broadcasting Center in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by actress Lee Min-jung, broadcaster Boom, director Kim Myung-jin, and director Chae Hyun-seok.

'The Best of the Best' is a showdown among the winners of numerous music auditions, aiming to crown the ultimate champion. Lee Min-jung and Boom will host the show, while Baek Ji-young, Heo Sung-tae, and Kim Yong-jun will join as panelists to witness the performances of the top singers.

Director Kim Myung-jin shared insights into the casting process, stating, "It wasn't easy. Only one person was decided immediately, while the rest took considerable deliberation." He added, "The casting process took about 1-2 weeks. The most crucial criterion was recognition. We wanted to ensure that viewers would find familiar faces, so we focused on casting well-known personalities."

Kim PD also gave a sneak peek into some of the cast members. "I can't reveal everyone, but some of you might already know a few. For instance, Huh Gak will be appearing. Among the current singers, Lee Ye-ji will join, and targeting the middle-aged audience, Park Chang-geun has been cast," he revealed.

'The Best of the Best' is set to premiere on the 15th at 8:50 PM.
