Cha Tae-hyun Discusses the Success of His Management Company on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'
Cha Tae-hyun appeared as a guest on the show aired on the 10th, where he discussed the management company he co-founded with fellow actor Jo In-sung. The company recently gained attention after its office was showcased on 'Running Man.'
He further revealed, "After establishing the company, we received several contract inquiries, but as a small company, we couldn't manage more people."
Hosts Seo Jang-hoon and Kim Gura mentioned other 'Dragon Club' members without agencies, suggesting, "You should at least take care of Hong Kyung-min. What about Jang Hyuk?" Cha candidly responded, "Hong Kyung-min runs his own company, and honestly, we can't afford members who don't bring in profit."
Discussing the pressures of being a CEO, Cha shared, "I read an article about actor Lee Je-hoon, who is also a company CEO, saying that payday makes him anxious. I feel the same pressure on payday."
He humorously admitted, "I should have calculated better, but I ended up giving out too much in bonuses. During a meeting, the managers even said, 'We don't think we deserve this much.'" Comedian Kim Sook commented, "It's a good company," with a smile.
Meanwhile, Cha Tae-hyun and Jo In-sung, who have been friends for 20 years, are successfully running their new management company, 'Basecamp Company,' as co-CEOs. Despite initial concerns about vacant office spaces and staff attendance, the company is now stable enough to distribute employee bonuses.
