Yoo Jae-suk Reveals Why He Bought Luxury Items on Installment Plans

On the October 10th episode of SBS's variety show 'Whenever You Have Time, Season 4' (hereafter 'Whenever'), comedians Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook appeared as 'gap friends.'

During the show, Kim Sook, in her 50s, jokingly told Yoo Yeon-seok, who is in his early 40s, "We don't sit with people in their early 40s. It's hard to talk to them." Yoo Jae-suk, addressing the youngest Yoo Yeon-seok, boasted, "These sisters are rich," causing laughter.

During mealtime, Kim Sook skipped eating due to an upcoming endoscopy. Yoo Jae-suk teased, "Sook, don't eat. Let's grill some meat," to which Kim Sook responded, "You're so cruel, senior. You've changed a lot. You used to be kind and gentle."

Yoo Jae-suk humorously referred to Kim Sook as "a smoking buddy from 30 years ago," eliciting laughter.

Kim Sook shed tears watching Song Eun-yi receive the Excellence Award at the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards. She said, "It's the first award she's received on the KBS stage in 33 years. She always supported me for the grand prize," expressing regret that Song Eun-yi had no luck with awards. Song Eun-yi, who hadn't even received a rookie award, confessed, "I did well too, but Jo Hye-ryun was too funny back then."

Yoo Jae-suk revealed, "I didn't receive a rookie award either. When I was nominated, I bought two Dolce & Gabbana suits with what little money I had, but I didn't win. It was tough paying off the installments."

Yoo Yeon-seok added, "I didn't win a rookie award either. I was nominated, but Jo Jung-suk won it for his role as Nabdeuki." The production team highlighted, "Yoo Yeon-seok did win a rookie award," emphasizing his '2024 SBS Entertainment Awards Rookie Award' win. Yoo Jae-suk humorously added, "I also won a rookie award as Yoo San-seul on MBC, after turning 50."

Meanwhile, Yoo Jae-suk ended up paying for the meal after losing a game.
