Netflix's 'Black and White Chef' Star Yoon Nam-no Joins MBC's Lunar New Year Special 'Discovery of the Dining Table'

Yoon Nam-no, known as the 'Cooking Genius' from Netflix's 'Black and White Chef 1', is set to appear in MBC's Lunar New Year special three-part series 'Discovery of the Dining Table'.

MBC's 'Discovery of the Dining Table' is a special program that explores the dedication and wisdom hidden in everyday meals. Top chefs in Korea will reinterpret authentic 'K-Food' and 'Korean culinary culture' found in daily dining, presenting them in a new light. The show will also feature traditional crafts closely tied to Korean food culture, offering a rich visual experience.

The show will be hosted by Jang Geun-suk, a well-known gourmet and 'home-cooked meal master'. Joining him are Yoon Nam-no, David Lee, known as the 'Meat Tyrant', and Chef Fabrice, the 'Korean Cuisine Ambassador', each bringing their unique flair to Korean cuisine. Idol Tsuki, known for her love of Korean food, and writer Kwak Jae-sik, who will share stories behind the meals, will also join as guests, showcasing everything from mukbang to cooking.

The first episode will focus on 'Meals with Time and Dedication'. It will feature chefs using traditional sauces to create exquisite dishes and uncover stories about Korean cuisine that viewers may not know. Yoon Nam-no will attempt to make meju for the first time, bringing laughter with his unpredictable actions during the process of grinding and stepping on boiled soybeans, as the cast takes on the challenge of making traditional gochujang.

Following this, the serene outdoor kitchen of a traditional Korean house will host the chefs as they prepare dishes using traditional doenjang and gochujang. David Lee will showcase his prowess in meat dishes with a dish made from Hanwoo, a specialty of Yeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, impressing everyone. MC Jang Geun-suk, watching in awe, will taste David Lee's dish, expressing his delight and raising viewers' expectations.

Meanwhile, Yoon Nam-no will captivate everyone by enhancing the depth of flavor in his dish with an unexpected ingredient added to gochujang. The secret behind his unique 'Nam-no Sauce' and his signature 'eating tips' will be revealed in the broadcast on the 10th.

MBC's Lunar New Year special three-part series 'Discovery of the Dining Table' premieres tonight (10th) at 9 PM.
