Korean Singer Bae Ki-sung Reveals Love Story with Younger Wife on TV Show

Korean singer Bae Ki-sung recently introduced his wife, who is 12 years younger and a show host, sharing their journey from first meeting to marriage.

On the October 9th episode of TV Chosun's variety show 'Joseon's Love', Bae Ki-sung and his wife Lee Eun-bi made a special appearance.

Bae Ki-sung introduced his wife, saying, "We've been married for nine years. This is my wife, Lee Eun-bi." The studio hosts were impressed by Lee Eun-bi's stunning beauty. At 42, Lee Eun-bi, who works as a show host, responded to a question about her current work, saying, "I still do some events and hosting. I don't remember ever just lying around at home." Bae Ki-sung added, "She's naturally not a lazy person."

The couple reminisced about their first meeting. Bae Ki-sung recalled, "I was having drinks with friends after a long time, and it was around the 6th or 7th round. She came into the place after work to have dinner. Even though I was drunk, I couldn't help but notice her." Lee Eun-bi shared, "I liked his songs during my teenage years and listened to them all the time back then. My friend told me, 'The person you liked is sitting behind you.' But I was too proud to turn around, so I kept going to the restroom to catch a glimpse."

Bae Ki-sung said, "I felt drawn to her. We ended up sitting together. When she was leaving, I called her and asked for her car number, saying, 'I'm Bae Ki-sung, can you tell me your car number?' She asked why, and I said, 'I need to know in case something happens.' She replied, 'Find out yourself next time,' and hung up." He continued, "At first, I was upset, but the next day I realized 'next time' meant there would be another chance. That's when our relationship began."

The couple dated for three years before getting married. Lee Eun-bi humorously noted, "I didn't know Bae Ki-sung had double eyelids. I must have been blinded by love. I prefer eyes without double eyelids, but people said his eyes were big and bright. I thought he didn't have them."

Bae Ki-sung shared that meeting Lee Eun-bi encouraged him to develop a reading habit. He said, "Our lives were so different. I was surprised to see her reading a paper newspaper. In this digital age, who reads newspapers? I started reading about 60 books a year because of her. It became a habit. I thought, 'If I marry her, my life will become smarter.' That's when I considered marriage."

Lee Eun-bi expressed, "Marriage is wonderful. I wish we had married earlier to have more time together." Bae Ki-sung agreed, "I wish we had met earlier to enjoy more time together." Lee Eun-bi added, "I'm curious about what you were like back then," showing her genuine affection.
