In this episode, Seon Jae-kyu opened up to Yoon Bom about his painful past for the first time, evoking sympathy. He revealed the guilt he had been carrying for years over not being able to save his father on the day of a house fire, despite having the chance. He confessed that he could only escape with his nephew, Seon Han-gyeol (played by Jo Joon-young), and expressed his fear of whether Yoon Bom would still see him the same way after learning this.

Yoon Bom, unsure of how to comfort Seon Jae-kyu, reached out to his older sister, Seon Hee-yeon (played by Son Yeo-eun), asking her to understand and forgive Seon Jae-kyu, who was still trapped in the past. Seon Hee-yeon responded, "The scar on your arm is not proof that you couldn't save our father. It's proof that you saved Han-gyeol," offering an apology she had never been able to give before. This scene, where Seon Jae-kyu began to overcome his long-standing trauma, brought tears to viewers' eyes.

Yoon Bom, facing Seon Jae-kyu without hesitation, gently kissed his burn scar, embracing his pain. The scene of the two comforting each other's wounds with love delivered deep emotion and excitement.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere became tense as a reporter, having heard that Jung Nan-hee (played by Na Young-hee) had visited Shinsu-eup, began to dig into Yoon Bom's past. Choi Yi-jun (played by Cha Seo-won) informed Yoon Bom of the reporter's investigation, and Seon Jae-kyu, overhearing their conversation, sensed the seriousness of the situation. Seon Jae-kyu and Choi Yi-jun headed to Seoul to clear Yoon Bom's name, asking Oh Dong-pyo (played by Lee Jae-moo) to protect her.

Yoon Bom was momentarily surprised when Seon Jae-kyu left, but he confidently confronted the reporter at their office, drawing a firm line against probing into Yoon Bom's private life just because she was the daughter of a famous actress, Jung Nan-hee. Together with Choi Yi-jun, they corrected the distorted view of the adultery scandal, showcasing their strong presence. They also reconciled their past misunderstandings, confirming their friendship.

Towards the end of the episode, Seon Jae-kyu visited Yoon Bom, who was spending a troubled night, offering comfort as if nothing was wrong. However, an uneasy tension loomed as rumors of Yoon Bom's alleged involvement in an adultery scandal began to spread, causing unrest in Shinsu-eup. With the revelation of her being Jung Nan-hee's daughter, Yoon Bom disappeared from Seon Jae-kyu's sight, heightening the suspense leading up to the final episode.
