Comedian Park Soo-hong Shares Heartwarming 'Solo Parenting' Experience with Daughter

Comedian Park Soo-hong recently shared a glimpse into his life as a solo parent.

On the YouTube channel 'Park Soo-hong Happy Da-hong,' a video titled '(Jae VLOG) Re-approach Period, Only Knows Dad... A Day of Solo Parenting for 50-Year-Old Dad Park Soo-hong' was uploaded on the 9th.

In the video, Park Soo-hong is seen experiencing mixed emotions as he watches his 16-month-old daughter, Jae, who has become quite attached to him. Jae was seen knocking on the bathroom door calling for her "dad," eventually making her way inside.

While in the bathroom, Park Soo-hong initially tried to deter her by saying "no," but eventually embraced his daughter who had entered. Despite expressing, "Daddy is so tired," he couldn't hide his smile.

Jae, who refused her mother's embrace, was eventually persuaded by the suggestion to "go see Da-hong." Park Soo-hong's wife, Kim Da-ye, explained, "Jae is going through a re-approach period typical in early childhood, where she relies on and depends on those she has formed strong attachments with," and encouraged her husband who is frequently sought after by their daughter.

Unintentionally taking on the role of a solo parent, Park Soo-hong spent the day playing with his daughter after waking up and then prepared for an outing. Heading to the department store, he candidly shared, "If I don't go out even for a day, time doesn't pass," bringing laughter.

Jae charmed everyone she met with her polite greetings, earning praise and affection as a bright and well-mannered child. By 10 PM, Park Soo-hong was heard pleading, "Please sleep through the night," as he gently laid his sleeping daughter in bed, showing his affection.

At 55 years old, Park Soo-hong shared, "I'm happy that my daughter is so attached to me, but it's physically exhausting," providing a moment of humor.

Meanwhile, Park Soo-hong married Kim Da-ye, who is 23 years his junior, in 2021, and they welcomed their daughter Jae in October 2024.
