Bae Woo-seok and IU Star in '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife': A Royal Contract Marriage Drama

Actor Bae Woo-seok is set to star alongside singer and actress IU in the upcoming drama '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife', where they will portray a contract marriage.

Premiering this April on MBC, the new Friday-Saturday drama '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife' features Bae Woo-seok as Grand Prince Ian. In the series, Grand Prince Ian is the only brother of the late king, living a life of concealment due to his inherent limitations as the second son of the royal family. Despite this, he is adored by the public as 'the most beloved royal in Korea', admired for his striking appearance, abundant dignity, and charisma.

Following the sudden deaths of his father and brother, Grand Prince Ian takes on the role of regent for his young nephew, who has ascended to the throne. However, forces opposing him are growing stronger. Amidst this turmoil, he receives a proposal for a contract marriage from Sung Hee-joo, played by IU, a second-generation chaebol, which disrupts his tranquil life. The drama will explore how Grand Prince Ian, who has hidden his inner passions, will navigate his new destiny with Sung Hee-joo.

The drama is set to premiere in April.
