Actress Yoon Yoo-sun's Uninterrupted Career: Husband Reveals Behind-the-Scenes Struggles
On the October 3rd episode of SBS's variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' (hereafter 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'), Yoon Yoo-sun, who has been in the industry for 52 years, and her husband, former judge and current lawyer Lee Sung-ho, opened up about their 25-year marriage for the first time.
During the show, Yoon Yoo-sun was asked if she ever took a break after her debut. She replied, "Except for a brief period during my senior year of high school, I don't think I've ever really taken a break," adding, "I don't find work exhausting, so I don't get tired."
However, her husband Lee Sung-ho recalled the challenges he faced due to Yoon Yoo-sun's workaholic nature.
Lee Sung-ho reminisced, "I was working in Busan when our first child was two years old, and our second was not even 100 days old. My wife decided to film the drama 'Magic Kid Masuri'."
He continued, "Because of her filming schedule, she had to be in Seoul at least three days a week. She left the kids with me and went to Seoul alone for filming. I couldn't even change out of my pajamas while taking care of the kids all day," he lamented.
Hearing this, Yoon Yoo-sun retorted, "When you went to work, I took care of the kids all day. You're not just a neighbor; you're their father."
Lee Sung-ho, feeling a sense of injustice, responded, "I was alone with two kids in Busan, where I had no connections." Yet, Yoon Yoo-sun stood her ground, saying, "I lived in Busan for three years with no one but my husband." To this, Lee Sung-ho conceded, "I have a lot to say, but I'll keep quiet."
Meanwhile, Yoon Yoo-sun, born in 1969, is 57 years old this year. She debuted as a child actress in the 1974 film 'The Person to Meet' and is celebrating her 51st anniversary in the industry. She married Lee Sung-ho, who is two years her senior, in 2001, and they have a son and a daughter.
