K-Drama 'Prescription for Love' Tops Weekend Ratings with Reunion of Jin Se-yeon and Park Ki-woong

The drama 'Prescription for Love,' starring Jin Se-yeon and Park Ki-woong, has claimed the top spot in weekend ratings right from its debut week. This marks the first reunion of Jin Se-yeon and Park Ki-woong since their appearance in the 2012 KBS2 drama 'Bridal Mask,' 13 years ago.

In the first two episodes of KBS 2TV's weekend drama 'Prescription for Love,' the long-standing feud between the Gong and Yang families, which has lasted for 30 years, begins to unravel. The drama premiered with a 15.5% viewership rating, and by the second episode, it had climbed to 17.4%. Additionally, it ranked first among all broadcasts on the key 20-49 demographic on the day of its airing.

The reunion of Jin Se-yeon and Park Ki-woong exceeded expectations. The first encounter between Gong Joo-ah (played by Jin Se-yeon), who is disheartened by a major broadcasting mishap, and Yang Hyun-bin (played by Park Ki-woong), who has returned from Argentina, was both delightful and intriguingly romantic. Jin Se-yeon portrayed the character of Gong Joo-ah with depth, showing her resilience and positivity despite unexpected challenges and past wounds.

Park Ki-woong also delivered a compelling performance, capturing the essence of Yang Hyun-bin's character with his poignant gaze as he recognizes his first love, Gong Joo-ah. The climax of the second episode, where the two characters reunite as superior and subordinate, provided a thrilling moment for viewers. The chemistry between the two actors, reunited after 14 years, has been praised as a 'trustworthy and watchable combination.'
