TWICE's Dahyun Shines as an Actress: A Promising Debut Year
Dahyun made her acting debut in February 2025 with the film 'You Are the Apple of My Eye' (directed by Cho Young-myung). By September, she had already made a mark as a promising new actress with the film 'Full Speed' (directed by Lee Seung-hoon). Later that year, she expanded her career to television, captivating viewers with her mature expression and emotion.
In January, Dahyun played the role of 'Ji Hyeon' in the JTBC drama 'Love Me' (directed by Cho Young-min, written by Park Eun-young & Park Hee-kwon, produced by SLL & How Pictures). She portrayed a character climbing the ladder to achieve her dream of becoming a writer, naturally capturing the essence of today's youth. Her performance revealed the delicate inner world of her character, adding stability to the drama with her portrayal of a romance that blossoms from a late realization of unrequited love.
Dahyun also garnered attention with her performances in previous works. As 'Seon-ah' in 'You Are the Apple of My Eye,' she portrayed both the 'first love girl' everyone admired and the adult 'Seon-ah,' leaving a lasting impression with her rich emotional acting. In 'Full Speed,' she showcased her character interpretation skills by researching and embodying 'Im Ji-eun,' a character who feels alive when running. Her improved dialogue delivery and expression shone in 'Love Me.'
From the announcement of her acting challenge, Dahyun heightened expectations and concluded her debut year as an actress with great success. As she continues to showcase various facets through characters like 'Seon-ah,' 'Ji-eun,' and 'Hyeon,' all eyes are on Dahyun's journey in 2026 as both 'Actress Dahyun' and 'TWICE's Dahyun.'
