Former Baseball Star Kim Tae-kyun Aims for Victory in 'Strongest Baseball' Finale

Former baseball player Kim Tae-kyun, who once earned over 20 billion won in salary, is determined to lead his team to victory in the 'Strongest Series'.

JTBC's 'Strongest Baseball' (planned by Hwang Kyo-jin, directed by Sung Chi-kyung, Ahn Sung-han, and Jung Yoon-ah) is a reality sports entertainment program where retired professional baseball players form a team to take on new challenges in the sport.

'Strongest Baseball' has captivated audiences with thrilling games and the chemistry among the Breakers players, securing the top spot for two consecutive weeks in the TV-OTT non-drama category of the Good Data Corporation's FUNdex for the second and third weeks of January.

In episode 136 of 'Strongest Baseball', the final match of the 'Strongest Series' between the Breakers and the Independent League representative team will take place. With both teams tied at one win each, an intense showdown is expected in Pohang.

Kim Tae-kyun, who has been vocal about his desire to win, once again expresses his determination ahead of the final match, saying, "I want to win." He declares, "Let's make history in Pohang," and can't take his eyes off the championship trophy on the field. His longing gaze at the trophy, akin to a lovesick admirer, and his powerful swings add a touch of humor.

Anticipation builds as Kim's performance promises to break through barriers. Known for his nicknames 'Kim On-base', 'Kim Contact', and now 'Kim Slugger', his impressive hitting turns the dugout upside down, and his lively celebration quickly changes the atmosphere. Notably, Coach Jang Sung-ho, who had temporarily stepped back, is back in full swing, energizing the field with dopamine.
