Chef Jong-Won Son Reveals His Impeccable Fridge on Netflix's 'Black and White Chef 2'
On JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' (directed by Lee Chang-Woo and Lee Rin-Ha), Chef Jong-Won Son, nurtured by 'Refrigerator', and Chef Kim Poong, also a product of the show, will appear as the fridge owners.
This episode is themed as 'Chefs' Party', featuring the grand '2026 Refrigerator Awards'. Chefs will ditch their usual attire for glamorous suits reminiscent of an awards ceremony, instantly elevating the atmosphere. When the two hosts question the timing, noting it's not awards season, Chef Choi Hyun-Seok humorously counters, "According to the lunar calendar, it's the end of the year."
The 'Refrigerator Awards' include categories like 'Best Couple', 'Best Performance', and 'Best Dish', with chefs voting for the winners. The competition is fierce, especially for the 'Best Performance' award, where original dance machine Jung Ho-Young faces off against rising dance star Park Eun-Young, promising an intense showdown.
Chef Jong-Won Son, a 'Michelin Two-Star Chef', will also share his secrets to self-discipline. His fridge, revealed for the first time on the show, is filled with neatly arranged water bottles and beverages, and meticulously labeled ingredients, prompting fellow chefs to comment, "It's like restaurant labeling." Son shares his routine, "I manage my weight to avoid discomfort while cooking. When I crave something spicy, I drink sparkling water; at night, I opt for crunchy snacks like bell peppers or broccoli." Chef Yoon Nam-No humorously adds, "Living with that fridge would make me depressed," drawing laughter.
Catch the episode on January 1st at 9 PM on JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator'.
