'Gag Concert' Revamps for 2026: Classic Segments Return with a Modern Twist

'Gag Concert' kicks off 2026 with a fresh lineup of revamped segments.

Leading the charge is the legendary segment 'Two-Person Debate,' returning after 15 years. Featuring original cast members Park Young-jin, Kim Young-hee, and Kim Ki-yeol, the segment retains its classic format, evoking nostalgia among viewers.

However, there are notable changes. While the original format featured a man and a woman satirizing each other's perspectives, the 2026 version delves into debates from the perspectives of a husband and wife, sharply reflecting the evolving societal norms. This renewal not only brings back memories but also resonates with contemporary audiences, proving that 'class is eternal.'

Veteran comedians also shine in 'Oh, That's Better,' a segment that humorously twists the dire scenario of a plane hijacking into a positive spin. Kim Ki-yeol, Kim Sung-won, Song Byung-chul, and Jo Hyun-min anchor the segment with their seasoned comedic timing.

Kim Ki-yeol plays the hijacker, skillfully managing the tempo as passengers exclaim, "Oh, that's better!" Jo Hyun-min, with his impressive acting skills, represents passengers eager to be hijacked, delivering big laughs. Meanwhile, Kim Sung-won and Song Byung-chul bring their unique characters to life, providing timely humor. Thanks to the veterans' grounding presence, new comedians also shine, showcasing the essence of a 'chaotic comedy.'

'Gwang and Gon' highlights the adept character portrayals of Park Sung-kwang and Kim Jin-gon. Their antics as the 'clueless duo' in front of the tense couple Jo Hyun-min and Chae Hyo-ryung, combined with their impeccable acting, leave viewers in stitches.

Regarding the new lineup, 'Gag Concert' producers stated, "The comedians' relentless efforts are bearing fruit in these new segments. The veterans' dedication to staying on trend serves as the greatest lesson for the newcomers."
