Lim Sung-geun, a contestant on Netflix's 'Chef in Black and White 2,' has publicly apologized for past DUI incidents.
On the 18th, Lim posted a handwritten apology on his social media, beginning with, "Hello, this is Lim Sung-geun." He expressed deep remorse, saying, "I bow my head in deep apology to the many fans and viewers who have supported me. I wish to confess a significant mistake from my past that has weighed heavily on my heart and sincerely ask for forgiveness."

He continued, "Drunk driving is an inexcusable mistake on my part. At the time, I deeply regretted it and accepted the legal consequences. Over the past few years, I have taken time to reflect on myself. I decided it was only right to confess and apologize for this before it was too late, which is why I am posting this today."
Lim concluded, "I sincerely apologize once again for disappointing you with my careless actions. I will strive to become a chef who can positively influence society by not forgetting my past mistakes and managing myself better."

Previously, on the 18th, Lim revealed on his YouTube channel 'Lim Sung-geun Lim Jjang TV' that he had been caught driving under the influence three times over a decade. He explained, "I usually sleep in my car after drinking, but I was caught by the police while sleeping and explained the situation. This happened about 10 years ago, with the most recent incident being 5-6 years ago."
