Park Hee-soon Shares Humorous Encounter with MBC President Ahead of Drama Debut

Park Hee-soon, making his debut in an MBC drama, shared a humorous story about his encounter with the MBC president before the event, bringing laughter to the scene. Previously, he married Park Ye-jin and has been enjoying a happy family life.

On the afternoon of the 2nd, the production presentation for MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Judge Lee Han-young' was held at the Golden Mouse Hall in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by director Lee Jae-jin, actors Ji Sung, Park Hee-soon, Won Jin-ah, Tae Won-seok, Baek Jin-hee, and Oh Se-young, who discussed the project.

'Judge Lee Han-young' is a justice-implementing time-travel drama about a corrupt judge, Lee Han-young, who returns to the past 10 years ago and makes different choices to punish great evil.

Park Hee-soon, who plays Kang Shin-jin, joked, "I just met the MBC president, and he asked how I could take on such a bad role. It seems he hasn't seen me play a villain before."

He continued, "This project made me think a lot about justice. Kang Shin-jin had a difficult life from a young age and wanted to create a better society, but he ended up using any means necessary to implement his own sense of justice. I felt that if I didn't understand this justice well, I wouldn't be able to express it, so I researched and contemplated it. I'm not sure if I expressed it well, but I think I pondered it thoroughly."

Recalling when he heard about Ji Sung's participation, Park Hee-soon said, "I agreed to do it without asking any questions," drawing attention. He added, "I received about four scripts, and they were really interesting, but I barely appeared in episodes 1 and 2. It wasn't easy to decide until I read episodes 3 and 4." He further mentioned, "I ended up binge-reading the original webtoon, and it was incredibly fun."

'Judge Lee Han-young' premieres on MBC at 9:40 PM on the 2nd.
